Our Story

Our Journey So Far

Milestones that shaped our story.

The Beginning

Expansion into government and small private schools with the GROWBY Reading program, reaching children from Ladakh to Tiruvannamalai — later adopted internationally.

2003

Preschools in Rural Karnataka

Hippocampus launched preschool centres in rural India and had 200+ centres operational by 2020.

2011

K–12 Schools

Hippocampus started its first school to deliver world-class learning opportunities to students from modest backgrounds and beyond big cities. We now operate 8 CBSE and 9 State Board schools (17 schools).

2015

Resilience & Innovation

Commissioned an international impact study on rural kindergarten education.

2017

KBC

Launched the new curriculum for building thinkers. When Knowledge + Behaviours + Competencies come together → children become THINKERS.

2022

Robotics, Programming & AI

Introduced hands-on learning in robotics, programming and artificial intelligence to prepare children for a technology-driven world.

2024

Sankalp90 Launch

Launched Sankalp90 — score 90%+ in Class 10 Math & Science, guaranteed. Stronger English. Stronger fundamentals for IIT-JEE & NEET.
